Thursday Thoughts

I am having my sister’s wedding flowers pressed and framed by someone local… I am hoping it turns out amazing!  Here is her website.

I love a #blindside on survivor…. now, I totally think Kimmi threw Monica straight under the bus, and was it really about depleting the ocean of clams or keeping the girls number up?  The real “snake in the grass” might just be Kimmi.  OR they got rid of a potential flip flopper early… was Monica less trustworthy than Wigglesworth?  UHHH debatable.  I think it usually takes about 5 episodes for me to get into a season of survivor… I might just be there finally.

I am trying to stay positive in my life!!

So WHAT Wednesday

Today is Wednesday and I am saying SO WHAT if…

• I want my kids to grow up and consider me their hero
• My sister’s wedding is in like 10 days not to mention her bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner etc etc
• I am stronger than I think I am
• my eye has been twitching for almost 2 weeks now
• I love decaf non fat toasted graham lattes
• NF doesn’t like swim lessons and as a parent I am totally confused as to what to do
• My bridesmaid dress doesn’t even come close to fitting me in any way and after they alter it I am sure it’ll look like a completely different dress… but that’s ok right because I am the pregnant maid of honor… right?  ughh
• Sometimes I need to remind myself to just breathe
• I am so happy survivor, modern family, and The middle are on tonight, and that scandal and grey’s is on tomorrow night
• I am exhausted
• I am one of 14 left out of 50 in the nfl pick game… I hope I make it to next week
• I want to vacuum my car, but don’t know when I’ll ever have the time right now
• I’m ready for Paula Deen to be off DWTS

Thursday Thoughts

Today’s Thursday and I am linking up with Ramblings of a Suburban Mom.

AHHHHHHHHH it’s a boy!!!!!!!!  I am going to be a mom of 2 boys.  This announcement photo was the very first of like 30 I took… isn’t that how it always goes?

The weather has been fantastic… and we’ve been able to hang outside / garage / back porch a lot which is amazing!  Nothing like watching football in the garage while getting some work done.

Syracuse football is 3-0 first time since 1991 (yes I just double checked that)… we play LSU this weekend… and uhhh we’re not expecting any miracles.

NF’s been to 2 swim classes so far and is the weakest of the 5 kids in the “non swimmer beginner” class ages 3-4 (the pikes)…. but he’s the most entertaining!  He was doing a little awkward boy dance and one of the instructors I think asked him if he had to go to the bathroom and he said about 6 times loudly “I just peed” … making everyone think that he just peed… like right there… but really, he had just gone before class.  He also tries to convince the other kids to just go play some soccer (and ditch this swim stuff).  I am so excited to see him improve each week, it’s the best!!  (and I am secretly glad I started him at age 3-4 instead of earlier when the parent has to get in the water too).

I’ve been going to gentle yoga 2-3x a week and it’s been great during my pregnancy…. I am still going to spin and boot camp also… but I’m able to do less and less in those classes… I am afraid of the day when spin is out and where I am mostly watching boot camp and not participating.

What is the bizarre news story about Kim Zolciak having a stroke after dwts monday but is now 100%…. I’ve been voting for her like crazy (mostly because I think she needs the votes).

speaking of Kims…. Look at these ankles… not looking forward to that.

Survivor 2nd chance premiered last night… and I watched… duh.

And right after the premiere of survivor… the big brother finale aired…. I stayed up until 11 PM to watch Steve win…… yup… that was like 100 hours of my life this summer…..

My sister’s bridal shower is this weekend and I ordered a tiramisu sheet cake from a local Italian bakery (where she is getting her wedding cake) and I am beyond excited to eat it.

So WHAT Wednesday…

Today is Wednesday and I am saying SO WHAT if…

• it was 0 degrees outside yesterday morning and 33 degrees outside this morning… makes total sense
• I’ve seen Big Hero 6 probably 7 times in 2 weeks…. is it spring yet
• My goal is to never have a energy bill as high as January again
• After not seeing our grass since maybe early December?  I feel like, what is the point of landscaping or doing anything nice to your yard when it’s barred by 4 feet of snow for 1/3 of the year…
• I am really looking forward to Survivor tonight… I hope it doesn’t disappoint
• I was annoyed that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills played the 15 minutes of the previous episode at the beginning of last nights episode… I felt jipped of 15 minutes of an episode!

Dear NF, I am really sorry if I traumatized you more with the car washes… see I know you’re terrified of them… I just thought that maybe if we tried it again that you’d see that they are not that scary… but I think I might have made it worse, I hope I didn’t.  I promise no more car washes with you in the car… at least for a while?

Dear Giuliana Rancic, I can’t wait to read your book.  Going off Script: How I survived a crazy childhood, cancer, and clooney’s 32 On-Screen Rejections… April 7th!!!

Dear Mike Holloway on survivor’s blue collar tribe, you are my favorite on the blue collar tribe because you ate a scorpion for no reason and that is good television.

Dear Joe Anglim on survivor’s no collar tribe, you are my favorite because you could make fire… and said that you practiced making fire before coming on the show…. WHYYYYYYYYY doesn’t everyone do that?  Like why wouldn’t you practice making fire before going on the show?

Dear the dress, you’re blue and black and I don’t understand why people see gold and white….

Dear C, you’re goin on day 9 of being sick… I may be a terrible person but I can only be nice to someone who is sick for 3 days (I think it’s scientifically proven that someone can only have sympathy for a sick person and care for them for like 72 hours before they get annoyed).  Sooo your time is up mister, GET BETTER NOW… you’re disgusting snot coughs snoring is driving me crazy (yes I am sure it is driving you crazy also and for that I feel bad).

Dear fitbit steps, I NEVER do this bad… it’s already 4:30 PM and I don’t even have 3,000 steps?  HOW!?

Dear NF, you are one party animal.  Seriously.  Idk how we’ll get back on track for Monday.

Dear Thursday night Black Friday Shopping, I tried you out this year… it wasn’t that bad.

Dear food, My body doesn’t have enough room for more of you but I WANT you.

Dear forced air heat, you’re drying me out.

Dear car, I love you… but I am sure not used to driving you in the snow!

Dear snow, where’d the heck you come from and are you hear to stay?? ughh.  I just don’t even know.

Thursday Thoughts

It’s THURSDAY!  and I’m linking up with Jen for Thursday Thoughts.

Okay – I’ll start with TV…

Dads… unfortunately there’s nothing else on and I’ve watched both aired episodes… and it’s just not good… with like one laughable moment.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine… again, there’s nothing else on at this time… and I find myself not paying attention… I’m more busy with my candy crush, cleaning, whatever it is I do when I’m “multi tasking”.  I just can’t get into it?

Michael J. Fox Show… love it.  I’m not into the kids yet?  But Michael and his wife… I love it.

Super Fun Night… they gave way too much away of this in the previews promoting the show… also Rebel Wilson has like 4 different accents through out the show – which is totally confusing me.  Since it’s on after Modern Family and before Nashville, I’ll def catch this each week.

Back in the Game… shockingly C likes this show?  I know he loves baseball, but I didn’t realize he liked James Caan (who I didn’t know who he was until I did some googling… apparently he’s an actor who played football at Michigan State, he was in the godfather etc etc).

New shows that have started and I haven’t watched, We Are Men, Hostages, The Blacklist, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Trophy Wife, Lucky 7, Welcome to the Family, The Crazy Ones, Sean Saves the World, Betrayal…

Some original shows I’m watching… DWTS, New Girl, Mindy Project, The Middle, Modern Family, Survivor, Last Man Standing, The Neighbors, Nashville…

Some Real Housewives of NJ news… The finale had low ratings I guess?  It didn’t even feel like a finale… but at least there wasn’t fighting.  Caroline is getting her spin off, so will she be off the next season?  Will Dina come back?  and then there is the question, will Joe and Tre go to jail?  All I can do is wait to find out.

I have my Chinese cooking class tonight!  I am so excited.

So here’s my question to you… WHAT do you like to order at starbucks?  Like tell me JUST how you order it… example – “tall java chip frap no whip cream”  “grande decaf skinny caramel macchiato”

Thursday Thoughts

It’s Thursday so I’m linking up with Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom.

There is just way too much new television for me to keep up with right now… and they all seem to be bunched together on the same nights.  I will catch up though.  I had to watch The Middle and the 1 hour Modern Family last night – therefore missing Survivor… and then I was too tired to watch Nashville (I know right, WHAT happened to Rayna James, no no don’t tell me for real).

DON’T tell me what happened… I didn’t watch it yet.

NF is crazy.  He is the FASTEST little guy ever.  Last night I took him to the mall to get his feet measured… because I suspected he’d out grown his sneakers?  (AHH he only wore those Jordans for 4 MONTHS!)  And he was sprinting around the store full speed, only to stop and give him self a kiss in the mirror?  He acts as if we keep him in a cage… oh wait… NO we don’t REALLY… but we do block him off to a play area in our apartment, otherwise our recyclables, garbage can, toilets, cabinets, bookcase, etc etc would be destroyed in under an hour.  And unfortunately his blocked off play area we named “the cage” – I have to be careful using this phrase around people who don’t know about “the cage”… because I’m sure they imagine like an animal crate… NO we do NOT keep our toddler in an animal crate, I promise.

Okay, so I’m brand new to this buying kids sneakers thing.  I’ve found that the Jordans are like… by far better quality than the other brands… and they have that back loop… which is KEY to me getting NF’s sneakers on…. so that’s how I justify spending like twice as much on these.  I just had no idea that he’d out grow them so quickly!  I decided I’d better have another boy, so he can enjoy all these toddler size Jordans.

Looking back I probably could have gotten his feet measured… and then went online to shop around for a better deal in his size… ugh… next time mama.  I learn as I go.

SO… I just learned what  PSL is.  I’ve been reading it… and thinking WHAT is that, and I think I need one too since everyone seems to be saying they need one.  I have to thank Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for quickly answering my question.  It’s a pumpkin spice latte… duhhh.  Someone should make a blog acronym list… I’d love it.

Oh, and I just found out after checking the starbucks website… that a Salted Caramel Mocha Frap, tall with nonfat milk and no whip cream… is only 200 calories… here I am walking around target thinking I’m drinking half the calories I should have in a day… and I WASN’T!  This could be dangerous knowledge.  I think I’m going to start calling this the SCMF… do you think that’ll catch on?

OH… and I start my Chinese cooking class tonight.
