Birchbox March 2014 review… I received box #33
Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream: Sure! I like these!
Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel Exfoliate: I don’t know about this. I used it and it was really slimy. It does not burn my skin (I once had a product like this from Vic Secret that BURNED my skin off)… so it was the same consistency as that but no burning. No feeling at all actually. There is no rinsing… and my skin absorbed it quickly…. but what does it really do??
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel: I’m not into my eye brows… I don’t love em… I don’t really know how to change them… I don’t know if I want to run gel in them… so I just dont know about this…
Kind Healthy Grain Bars: I got the maple pumpkin seeds with sea salt one… not my fav… I would have loved one with chocolate.
Color Club Gala’s Gem Collection: I got the green one!!! So excited, I don’t have this color yet in my collection!

PopSugar April 2014 Review
I am back on the PopSugar kick! I signed up for 3 months because I just NEEDED a box fix! PopSugar Must Have Box is a monthly box that has a wide variety of items that are all so fun to receive!
Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette ($36): This is my favorite item in the box!! I really needed this! And the colors are great!!
Blueavocado Shopper Reusable Bag (Ivory Roses) ($24.99): This is so cool! I love it. But I need to make sure I use it. Farmers market??
Caldrea Rosewater Driftwood Hand Soap ($10.50): this is really nice soap and I love the smell.
Graphic Image Pocket Notes (Run the World) ($20): I love this. My sister uses notebooks in her bag all the time… I am thinking maybe she’d like this. She says she reads this blog everyday… maybe it’ll be a birthday gift?!
Fresh Pastry Stand Tea Towel Set ($18): I am not sure what I will use these for. What do you use tea towels for? Would my 12 year old niece like these? They don’t really go with my kitchen (but do the Christmas towels still?)… mmmmm but they are totally awesome
Nature Box PopSugar Must Have Mix ($5): A custom created mix for Popsugar with soybeans, almonds, corn, and cranberries… it’s not my favorite. I like my graze box mixes more.
Birch Box March 2014 review
Birchbox March 2014 review… I received box #39
This month’s theme was spring forward and I loved it!
(missing from the group image the Ghirardelli Intense Dark Cherry Tango because I immediately ate it)
Greenleaf Starlight Candle: I was SO excited to get a candle in this box! I’ve never received a candle in a birch box! The smell of it is very strong and nice. It’s citrus but also like a clean musk? Does that description even make sense… it smells like it could be soap but a really good smelling soap.
COOLA Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face: I actually really loved this. It wasn’t as heavy as other BB creams I’ve sampled and I found it very moisturizing.
Air Repair Rescue Balm All-Purpose Skin Salve and Lip Balm: What a great idea!!! I think I want to keep this in my car! (I could have used this two MONTHS ago… but now will do) However… I imagine a container of Vaseline would do the same thing? This is more fancy.
Gilchrist & Soames London Collection Body Lotion: This was okay. I need lotion like I need nail polish (I don’t). So I will try to use this up right away.
Nelson j Beverly Hills Argan Oil 7 Non-Foaming Shampoo: This smelled like toothpaste… not really a fan of that. I will try it out but if my hair smells like minty toothpaste I will not be happy about it. I am not someone who really cares about sulfate or parabon free stuff… I don’t know should I be? I don’t color my hair? OH and what’s non foaming mean?? Just because of that I am interested in testing it out… but will the non foaming part be bad?
March 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box Review
I am back on the PopSugar kick! I signed up for 3 months because I just NEEDED a box fix! PopSugar Must Have Box is a monthly box that has a wide variety of items that are all so fun to receive!
Brokedown IKAT Scarf: ($72) I love this scarf. It’s my favorite item in the box! I can’t believe it’s $72 though.
Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum: ($30) I think I might give this to my mom for her birthday next week. I think she’d like it… and I feel like I have a lot of this kind of thing from birchbox. I do love getting this in the box.
Mini Stability Excercise Ball: ($9.95) I was more excited about receiving this before I actually saw it. It’s kinda flimsy… and I’m worried NF would pull the plug out and put it in his mouth, so I won’t be letting him play with it. I wonder if I will use it for what it’s supposed to be used for… maybe I will…
BaubleBar Elephant Ring Tree Holder: ($12) This is my second favorite item in the box. I can’t wait to put some rings on it.
Snappea Crisps: ($3) I am really interested in trying these… I wonder if I’ll like them!? UPDATE: I LOVED THEM!!! but I thought they’d actually be pea pods.. but they aren’t they just LOOK like them… I think right? Anyway I loved them sooo good!
Dogeared Lucky Horseshoe Necklace: ($28) this is a fun item. You’re supposed to make a wish and when the necklace wears away and falls off your wish comes true. I just can’t see myself wearing it while I sleep?
Nature’s Bakery Fig Bar: ($1) I put this in my bag to eat as a snack at work tomorrow. I think I’ll like it! UPDATE: I loved this… it was so tasty and filling!
Birchbox February 2014
Birchbox February 2014 review…
This month’s theme was: Step. Pose. Repeat. It’s awards season.
Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Conditioner: I guess I’ve only heard of dry shampoo. I probably have more use for dry conditioner than I do dry shampoo. I am wondering if I use this after the gym if it’d help get the snarls out for the remainder of the day? It’s going in my gym bag. This item was my favorite out of the box.
Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream: Also a favorite from this box. Love an eye cream. I like this sample size too. This little box was so cute! I tried a little. I never know if they actually work ya know, but it can’t hurt right? (unless it makes you break out in a rash or something awful, it can’t hurt…)
Juicy Couture Couture La La Malibu: can’t go wrong with a perfume sample. I like the smell it’s a little citrus-y which I like.
W3ll people universalist multi use color stick: I can’t think of anything I’d want to make more red right now. I am SO pale from it being winter and everything… my nose is red from blowing it from being sick. I just was not into this sample. Maybe in a few months.
Benefit Big Easy: it’s kind of cool that this isn’t available in stores yet… but I don’t consider these things a real sample. It’s good for one use and who really likes to open these things and use them? They are in magazines. The actual full size item looks promising though.
Birchbox December 2013 Sparkle and Shine
Ya know what else came!! My Birchbox December 2013 Sparkle and Shine box!
Number 4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray: I already received this in a julep mystery box. I hardly use hair spray so this went into the gift pile.
Beekind Body Lotion: This is great for this time of year. I love nice lotion and my hands dry out really bad. My mom and I tried to figure out what it smells like and we decided it smelled like lemon drops. Like sugar and lemon. Quite a nice scent. The lotion is not thick so it’s probably meant for your body like it says in the name… but I’d like to use it on my hands and keep it in my bag.
Emily’s Chocolate Covered Fortune Cookie: I wanted to eat this immediately but I stopped myself. It’s going in the stocking stuffer pile (so if you’re reading this and and I am making you a stocking this year – sorry I ruined the surprise but get excited because this looks amazing).
Eslor Skincare System: I typically don’t love packet samples but this could be fun to try one night.
I don’t know what the heck this thing is and I don’t have a smart phone.
Secret Agent Beauty Secret Lip Affair Nourishing & Plumping Lip Gloss: Uhhhhh… I was pretty excited about getting this annnddd… it’s missing. I contacted birchbox and hopefully they’ll send me it??
Birchbox November 2013 Review
It’s NOVEMBER!! And my birchbox came.
I did not peak this month so everything I received was a total surprise.
This isn’t the entire box. I did get a chocolate covered pretzel… but when I went to go photograph the box contents the pretzel was NO WHERE to be found??? I KNOW I didn’t eat it. We’ve got a chocolate covered pretzel thief on the lose… it’s the only explanation… or I lost it?
Aloxxi ColourCare Volumizing and Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner: I know this it technically two items – but it’s really like one. I do like getting travel size bottles of shampoo and conditioner for traveling… but I hardly travel… but ya know if I ever did. I like these! Volume, strength, and color protection are things I like. — when they say color protection do they mean like color dye? because I haven’t colored my hair in like 6 years – this my totally natural hair color. But if it protects my natural color from fading or dullness I like that.
Chella Highlighter Pencil: THIS I am very interested in. “This pencil conceals, brightens, contours, shapes, lines, and defines… working 10 different ways to help you highlight your natural beauty.” Sounds good to me!
Color Club Harlem Lights Collection: The color I got is called Baldwin Blues… LOVE IT! I really liked the gold, Apollo Star, but I am just as happy with the Baldwin Blues. Those were my two fav from the collection so I’m glad I got one! Can’t go wrong with a nail polish!
Fatty Sundays Chocolate Covered Pretzel Flavors – 5 Pack: The sample i received and now can’t find was TINY. Like a bite size of one of these. I can’t really tell what size they actually are. I mean, chocolate covered pretzels – I’ll always like them… $35 for a 5 pack? I’m not sold. The flavors sound amazing though, two sprinkles (eh), smooth mint (mmm), toffee crunch (yes yes please!), and toasted coconut (fannncyyy!!). I’d say these would be fun stocking suffers but for $.
October 2013 Birchbox Review
This month’s Birchbox box was a really good one. It’s a monthly subscription box that costs $10.
I have to admit I peaked this month before I received it in the mail… and I’m glad I did because I was really excited!
Pop Beauty Aqua Lacquer: full size $14… I think I got a full size. It’s a sheer gloss that plumps and hydrates with jojoba oil. The color I got was Floating Rose. It’s darker in person than it looks on the site. It has a unique spatula-like applicator brush – and smells minty. When I put it on it’s tingly and not that sticky. It’s totally fun and I’m really glad I got it in my box!
Benefit Cosmetics – Fake Up: full size $24. First of all I LOVE this idea… it’s a hydrating under eye concealer. I use under eye concealer, and a moisturizer and this is BOTH. Plus I like this sample size – it’s small, but it’s perfect to pop in your travel make up bag. $24 is a lot but I might just love it enough to buy it (with my birchbox points that is).
Chapstick Hydration Lock: Who doesn’t love a good chap stick? And I really like the vanilla creame flavor! This was a great practical addition to the box! And just in time too, winter is coming!
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser: full size $24.50 (but my info card says $21.50!)… I love this!! I love washing my face different ways… and this was different! The cloth is just the perfect amount of rough to exfoliate without feeling like sandpaper… I was really amazed how well it washed away any make up or dirt I had on my face. Afterward my face felt smooth, clean, and surprisingly hydrated – not dry.
The box also had a $1 off a hydration lock chapstick (scoreee)
My Graze Code
Feel free to use my graze code… 459P4K9NP
Graze is a subscription box for $5 – that provides 4 healthy snacks! Use the code and get your 1st and 5th box free!
The Goodies Co. Review September
The Goodies Co. Taster’s box is $7 (that includes shipping)… and you get about 5-7 snacks mailed to you to try. You can review them online and get points – once you get 300 points you can use that for a free box. I got this box for free because I had gotten up to 300 points!
I was pleased and excited about the amount of goodies that were in this box. I felt like it was more to try than other boxes I’ve had, but basically a normal box.
Pure Life Splash Water – Lemon: The site says I got orange, but I got lemon. I thought this was pretty good. I was excited to drink it as a treat with no calories. I might have liked orange better? But I’m totally fine with plain water (because it tastes good to me and is free).
Bare Fruit – Fuji Apple Chips: These were sooo tasty! But there wasn’t enough in the bag! They weren’t chewy at all they were perfectly crisp and crunchy.
Zone Perfect – Greek Yogurt Chocolate Bar: I literally feel like I ate this thing in the car for like 10 minutes. It was so satisfying and giant. So good… and had tons of protein and fiber. It was 190 calories, but that’s less than a candy bar and better for you too.
Hummus Crisps – Sun-Dried Tomato, Basil & Feta: This was flavorful… I didn’t catch any feta taste, but I did feel like I could taste this for about 2 hours still after eating it and that my breath was awful afterwards. Still a good snack.
Numi Tea – Broccoli Cilantro: I’m scared. Broccoli Cilantro tea? It’s probably fantastic for me. It smells like a broccoli soup? It tastes like a soup broth? I will drink it and pretend it’ll give me super powers at the gym later.
Attiki Honey – Thyme: I got this tiny honey sample in my box… but it’s not showing up that I got it in my box. Oh, maybe I’ll put it in my broccoli cilantro tea!
Scottie Dogs – All Natural Black Licorice: Goodies co. says I didn’t get this in my box, it says I got pitted green snack olives seasoned with sevillian spice… which sounds crazy. I don’t really like black licorice, but my grandpa does, so I will be saving this to give to him for Christmas. He also loves dogs so this would be great, right?
I contacted the company letting them know that the items I received didn’t exactly match up with the items they say I received on their site. This is only important to me because I like to review them for points! And how can I accurately review items I didn’t get!
